About Jacqueline Cox, Owner & Founder

I have been in the Daycare business since 2008 and my background is in education. In College, I majored in Sociology and Early childhood. When I graduated from college I applied for a job as a Substitute Teacher for the New York City Department of Education. I taught students from kindergarten to 12th grade and found that I enjoy working with the younger students. Their hunger for knowledge and eagerness to learn that lead me to start an after school program in my local community, for students ages 5 through 12. I helped to foster their learning by designing individual curriculum to foster each students’ needs.

The program became a big success because of the improvement in the students’ grades in school. The excitement and the joy that I experience from my students whenever they showed me their improved report card, gave me a sense of empowerment and fulfillment to continue motivating them. The success of my After School program also motivated me expand my program into Jackie’s Daycare and After School program. I am very passionate about educating my students and watching them develop into intelligent young people.
